Alex Majoli is an Italian photographer and member of Magnum Photos. He was born in Ravenna, Italy in 1971 and began his career as a photojournalist in the early 1990s. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, The New Yorker, and Time Magazine.

Majoli's photography focuses on the human condition, often exploring themes of displacement, conflict, and identity. He has traveled extensively to document stories from around the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, India, and Haiti. His work has earned him numerous awards including World Press Photo Awards for his coverage of the war in Iraq and the refugee crisis in Europe.

In addition to his photojournalism work, Majoli has also published several books including Leros (2003), Libya (2011), and Zona (2015). He is also a frequent lecturer at universities around the world and has served as a jury member for several prestigious photography competitions.

Majoli's photographs have been exhibited widely throughout Europe and North America. In 2017 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from The Royal Photographic Society for his outstanding contribution to photography.
