About

Alessandro Somma is an Italian photographer and visual artist based in Rome. He has been working as a professional photographer since the early 2000s, and his work has been featured in numerous publications, including Vogue Italia, GQ Italia, and Vanity Fair Italia.

Somma's photography is characterized by its bold use of color and light, often featuring surrealistic elements. His work often explores themes of identity, gender roles, and the human condition. He has also worked extensively with fashion photography, creating striking images for some of the world's leading fashion houses.

In addition to his commercial work, Somma has also created several personal projects over the years. These include a series of photographs exploring the relationship between humans and nature; a project focusing on the beauty of everyday life; and a series of portraits exploring the concept of identity.

Somma's work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, and the United States. He has also been featured in several books about photography and art. In 2020 he was awarded the prestigious Prix de la Photographie Paris for his series "The Human Condition".
