Kate Moss fronts Stella McCartney Breast Cancer Awareness campaign

Pink October is here, and to celebrate the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, British fashion designer Stella McCartney has enlisted her long-time supermodel-pal Kate Moss to bring consciousness through fashion in a special lingerie campaign.

The forty year-old fashion icon, who has previously fronted a total of seven Stella McCartney campaigns (the most recent being for the Autumn/Winter 2014 offering), once again puts her good-looks to good use by showcasing a number of specially designed all-pink pieces from Stella McCartney's line of intimates in support of the charitable cause.

Lensed by the fashion designer's photographer-sister Mary McCartney, the campaign sees Moss donned in a semi-sheer neon pink lace brassiere from the collection's Gemma Relaxing range as she sensually pulls one side down, with the Breast Cander Awareness's classic pink ribbon protecting her modesty.

A portion of the sale proceeds will go to benefit the Linda McCartney Centre, a clinic for cancer patients which was named after McCartney's mother who fell victim to the illness and lost her battle to it in 1998.

"I wanted to remind women that when they wear this set, the first thing they put on in the morning, to keep on top of their health and visit their doctor regularly," said the noted clothesmaker. “We decided to make something stylish, with an eye-catching pop of colour so that even just opening your drawer and even if you see it and don’t wear it, it's a reminder."

“It’s also a big deal for Kate to bring awareness to this cause," McCartney continued. "It’s something that she has never done before, Kate is a strong feminine woman with a daughter and a husband; a strong family unit. For her, it was important to bring awareness to his campaign to keep families together.”
