Actress, activist and Chanel ambassador Phoebe Tonkin has launched a sustainable loungewear brand.
Titled Lesjour! a play on the French phrase les jours ('the days'), the Los Angeles label was born in June of this year during the pandemic with Tonkin channeling her creativity. Having toyed with the idea since two years she wanted to create a line that reflected her chic, laid-back style.
The collection comprises of matching slinky-chic loungewear sets (four tops and two pants) to start with. There are six pieces, six styles, and three colors: A red cardigan, wide-leg knit pants and roomy tops in sizes from XS - XXL and in three colourways from red, black and soon to be released gold lurex. The sets are meant to be hassle-free go-tos that work for a variety of situations and can be worn every day of the week.
Priced at 198 USD per piece the garments are made from EcoVero - a sustainable fabric that's made of wood pulp and is super innovative and super regenerative. The packaging is free of any hang tags or pins and is compostable and and recyclable. According to Tonkin, the debut collection offering will also expand every six weeks with a new color, new styles and fabrics.
Lesjour! is available exclusively on www.lesjour.com.
