Mimi Wade collaborates with Polly Pocket

Mimi Wade has teamed up with Polly Pocket for a capsule collection of clothing and jewelry.

The collection consists of a slip-on dress, babydoll dress, shirts with lace and jewelry, which are made in collaboration with jewelry designer Vicki Sarge.

According to Wade, the items contain prints from her own Polly Pocket drawings in different scenarios and during the design process baroque pearls, Swarovski crystals, silk, velvet, and lace were used. The campaign images feature model Moffy Gathorne Hardy lensed by Maxime Imbert.

'I wanted to highlight the idea of Polly being this tiny adventurer where her size is an advantage rather than a limitation,' Wade said of the collection. 'The collection is reminiscent of the '90s, I wanted to reflect the time in which Polly Pocket was particularly prevalent. Outfits worn on stage by '90's punk band Babes in Toyland and Kathleen Hannah from Bikini Kill were on my mood board.'

The collaboration between Wade and toy chain from Mattel was born out of toy manufacturer Mattel's mission to tap into the trend zeitgeist ahead of Polly Pocket's relaunch later this year.

The Mimi Wade X Polly Pocket capsule collection is available exclusively from Selfridges in London.
