Lily James Lands Her First Burberry Campaign


Lily James has been tapped by Burberry for their new fragrance campaign.

The rising British star will front the global campaign of the iconic British brand's pillar fragrance family, My Burberry Black which was created in collaboration with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian.

'I am thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry family. I am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot,' James said in a statement. 'Shooting my first campaign was so special - I don't want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself...'

Lily who has starred in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, War & Peace, Downton Abbey and Cinderella follows current faces Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.

'I'm so delighted to have worked with the very lovely and clever Lily James on our new My Burberry campaign,' said Burberry chief creative and chief executive officer, Christopher Bailey. 'I have admired her work for quite some time and was bowled over by her wonderful charm and her warmth when we met so it was a treat to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this shoot together.'


The campaign will launch in August 2016 with photos and a film shot by Mario Testino.
