Lanvin celebrates 130 years with a Capsule collection

The house that Jeanne Lanvin founded in 1889 is celebrating its 130th anniversary in a very special way.

Bruno Sialelli, creative director of Lanvin has designed a joyful and mischievous capsule collection that pays tribute to the Parisian fashion house's heritage on the auspicious occasion.

Inspired by the iconic and timeless fragrance of the house Arpege, the mini collection brings back to life famous drawings of Jeanne Lanvinsuch as the Art Deco model Guilhem of the Inverno 1920 collection, the iconic silk blouse and gold sequins of the Summer 1927 collection, the majestic coat with embroidery from the Summer 1936 collection and the original "Jeanne Lanvin" logo featuring her cursive handwriting.

Other notable designs include the Angel (a blue dress with golden wings) which represented the house during the World's Fair in New York in 1939, and the Mermaid, a multicolored cloak which Jeanne presented at the international Golden Gate exhibition held in San Francisco in 1939. Sialelli carefully selected the forgotten treasures of the house with his daughter Marguerite and the end result is a modern rendition of exceptional Jeanne Lanvin designs and historical codes that strikes a balance between elegance and modernity- a creative journey through time.

The Lanvin 130 Year Capsule is available on Lanvin.com and its stores.
