Jacquemus debuts hot new collection titled La Montagne

French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has released his newest Fall/Winter 2021-2022 collection.

Titled 'La Montagne' which translates to The Mountain in English, the capsule was presented by a stellar cast including notable appearances by Kendall Jenner, Jill Kortleve, Bella Hadid, Adut Akech and Leon Dame during an indoor show which took place on June 30, 2021 in Paris. Based on the theme of hiking, the collection questions our need to escape after months of confinement.

The collection comprises of T-shirts stamped with the words 'La Montagne', shoulder belts, pullover sweatshirts, zip-up bralettes, trucker sweaters, bold cut-out knits, pink suits, skirts and dresses. There is also footwear such as mid-height heels, utilitarian sneakers, hiking boots, as well as oversized totes and mid-size crossbody bags with double straps and two-toned leather detailing.

Following the footsteps of Tom Ford and Burberry, who opted for a see-now-buy-now model, the Jacquemus La Montagne collection was made available immediately after the show. Altogether the collection is sexy, functional and modular and features something for everyone, every season.

'For this collection, after such a special year, I wanted to bring people together inside and share a fashion moment with them. I wanted to focus on the clothes, the silhouettes, the colors, the materials, the details and the energy of the models. I wanted the set to be minimal and sharp, recreating an abstract artistic mountain that portrays the inspiration of the collection,' Jacquemus said in an Instagram post.
