Italian luxury house Gucci is releasing a Mickey Mouse-themed capsule collection in celebration of Chinese New Year on January 25.
This year is the Year of the Rat or Mouse and what better way to herald the occasion with the most famed fictional mouse. Titled 'Year of the Mouse', the collection consists of various ready-to-wear pieces, such as T-shirts, jackets, sweaters, blouses, bags, and accessories featuring a Mickey Mouse motif. In addition to the iconic mouse, the items feature Gucci's famous logo and monogram print.
To promote the new collection, Gucci joined forces with photographer and cult filmmaker Harmony Korine. The colorful images of the campaign were shot in Disneyland and were styled by the house's creative director Alessandro Michele. Mickey Mouse stars alongside Gucci ambassador and actress Ni Ni, actor Earl Cave and designer, stylist and poet Zoe Bleu.
Gucci's Year of the Mouse is available from January 3, 2020 at Gucci.com and selected stores worldwide.
