Trussardi taps Serhat Isik and Benjamin A. Huseby as new Creative Directors

Italian luxury company Trussardi has tapped Berlin designers Serhat Isik and Benjamin A. Huseby as its new Creative Directors.

The duo who founded cult Berlin-based brand, GmbH in 2016 will lead the revival of the house and will oversee all aspects of design, image and branding.

'With GmbH we have helped bring topics of inclusivity and responsibility to the forefront of the fashion discourse. Our vision for the revival of the house of Trussardi will be founded in these exact values. Trussardi comes charged with pedigree and enormous untapped potential. We were drawn to the possibility of building a house anew,' said Isik and Huseby in a statement.

'Serhat and Benjamin bring a distinctive and powerful vision to Trussardi. The team and I are profoundly excited to embark on this journey with them, in view of bringing a contemporary and responsible lifestyle experience to the market,' said Trussardi CEO Sebastian Suhl.

Trussardi which was founded by Dante Trussardi in Bergamo in 1911 started as a workshop producing and distributing luxury gloves. In the 1960's under the leadership of Nicola Trussardi it expanded into bags, suitcases and home accessories.

Isik and Huseby's first collection for Trussardi is expected to debut in 2022 during the Autumn / Winter season. Alongside their duties at Trussardi they will continue their brand GmbH.
