Prada Launches E-commerce

Prada has taken the leap into ecommerce. The Italian fashion company has started selling its fashion items in Europe via online shops Net-a-porter and Mytheresa.com in Germany.

The luxury brand's pre-fall and fall runway pieces, bags, shoes and small leather goods have all been made available on respective online retailers.

'Prada is the ultimate brand every store wants to sell, but only few can, and we're honored to be one of them', Yoox Net-a-porter Group's CEO Federico Marchetti said. 'It opens a whole new online chapter for both groups.'

In addition Prada plans to sell tailored menswear pieces, footwear, and accessories on Mr Porter, the male equivalent of Net-a-porter starting September 6.
