Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert is Swarovski's first Global Creative Director

Italian Fashion editor and stylist Giovanna Battaglia Englebert is Swarovski's first Global Creative Director.

Marking the first time in its 125-year history, the appointment reflects the restructuring that comes with Swarovski family members Robert Buchbauer (CEO), Nadja Swarovski, and Mathias Margreiter.

'For decades, Swarovski has been illuminating the world of fashion, design, entertainment, in general the whole creative industry. I am thrilled to be leading the creative vision of a cultural powerhouse like Swarovski in the future', said Battaglia Engelbert.

Prior to her new role Battaglia Engelbert had been with the company since 2016 and was involved in the creative direction of Swarovski's B2B. Hailing from Milan, she started her fashion career as a model for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana and Carolina Herrera in the 90s and later as a stylist and Editor at Vogue Italia.

Battaglia Engelbert's first collection for Swarovski will be presented during Spring/Summer 2021.
