Charlotte Casiraghi is Chanel\'s New Ambassador

Charlotte Casiraghi has been named as the new ambassador and spokesperson of Chanel from January 1 2021.

The Granddaughter of world-renowned style icon, princess, and movie star Grace Kelly will embody the campaign for the Spring-Summer 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection of the French fashion house designed by Virginie Viard. The images were lensed in Monaco by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the historic Villa La Vigie, which was Karl Lagerfeld's former residence.

Casiraghi will also unveil along with Viard 'Les Rendez-vous litteraires rue Cambon' [Literary rendezvous at rue Cambon], a project perpetuating Gabrielle Chanel and Lagerfeld's unconditional love for literature. Held monthly at Coco Chanel's private apartments above the brand's flagship boutique, the literary salons will bring together female authors, actresses, and friends of the house who will read, exchange and present a singular viewpoint of historical or contemporary literary figures which they admire. The first Casiraghi led meeting will take place on January 26 in the salons at 31 rue Cambon and will be broadcast on on Chanel's website and social media channels.

The appointment of Casiraghi by Chanel makes sense given her strong relationship with the brand. She joins the ranks of a star-studded lineup of ambassadors and campaign spokesmodels such as Kristen Stewart, Lily Rose Depp, Penelope Cruz, and Keira Knightly.
