Calvin Klein and Palace unveil CK1 Palace collection

Iconic American fashion house Calvin Klein and London skateboarding label Palace have collaborated on a joint collection.

Titled 'CK1 Palace' the capsule comprises of Calvin Klein t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, basketball jerseys, baggy shorts, waistband-branded cotton underwear, unisex denim, tees, tank tops, boxers, caps, and socks. The highlight of the collection is a new Palace-infused formulation of Calvin Klein's classic perfume 'One' which was introduced in 1994 and credited as the first ever unisex fragrance.

The collection also includes an additional collaboration with Vans that features a limited-edition sneaker. The sneaker is a reimagined version of the footwear brand's classic Authentic style and comes in white with the title CALVANS written in thick black front across.

The collaboration combines Calvin Klein's iconic minimalism with Palace's modern style and celebrates nostalgia, self-expression and inclusivity. It also introduces a custom logo that combines Calvin Klein branding with Palace's iconic skate tri-ferg.

To celebrate the partnership and launch of the collection, a campaign film directed by Alasdair McLellan has been released. The campaign was lensed in New York (the home of Calvin Klein) and London (the birthplace of Palace). It features an ensemble cast of Willem Dafoe, Precious Lee and Lola Leon (representing New York) and Joan Collins, the Pet Shop Boys, Adwoa Aboah, rapper Unknown T and the Palace Skater family (representing London).

'From our first conversation, there was such a natural connection and a mutual appreciation and understanding of one another's brand vision and DNA. With Palace, the story we wanted to tell came to life quite naturally and we had a ton of fun working on it,' said Jacob Jordan, Calvin Klein's Global Chief Merchant, Head of Product Strategy & New Product Ventures.

'I feel so lucky to launch our first ever fragrance with Calvin Klein. CK ONE disrupted the Status Quo and to be able to make a new version of it in a Palace way has been a dream. I grew up admiring the iconic Calvin Klein campaigns of the early '90s for their simplicity and their forward-thinking depiction of fashion that appealed to everyone. It was so visually impactful: the casting, the energy, it really remains unmatched. From the first call with the Calvin team, I knew there was so much we could do. This collaboration has grown organically and I'm proud of everything we've created together,' Palace founder Lev Tanju said in a statement.

The CK1 Palace collection is available now at Calvin Klein and Palace's webstores and physical stores. Check out the stellar campaign here.
