Virgil Abloh reinvents 4 classic Louis Vuitton bags

Virgil Abloh has reinvented 4 classic Louis Vuitton bags for 2019.

The 38-year-old designer and men's artistic director of Louis Vuitton has revisited the already-existing models that reflect the know-how of Louis Vuitton and its heritage.

The four classic bags are part of the new Monogram Eclipse collection that reinvent the concept of leather goods and includes the Steamer PM, Soft Trunk, Mini Soft Trunk as well as the Pochette Volga. The Steamer bag which was first created in 1901 has been modernized by combining fashion with function and is ideal for business as well as style. The Soft Trunk which is also available in a Mini Soft Trunk version has been redesigned in soft leather. Lastly, the Pochette bag comes with a detachable chain handle that can be used as a bag or wallet.

The new classics come in darker tones, with metallic finishing, matte-effect resin chain hardware, and supple leather construction. All of the pieces have the signature Louis Vuitton monogram.

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse range will be available this fall at LV stores worldwide.
