Valentino launches its first line of Sustainable Sneakers

Italian luxury fashion house Valentino has launched its first line of Sustainable Sneakers.

The capsule is part of Valentino's 'Open for a Change' project which reinforces its commitment to going fur-free starting from 2022. Two of the brand's iconic sneakers- Open and Rockstud Untitled have been redesigned and reimagined in a spirit of open innovation with a more conscious-driven ethos.

The new versions are made from recycled and bio-based materials such as leather produced from viscose, polyurethane of corn-derived polyols, recycled polyester (for the strings) and recycled nylon (for the studs). Available in five colourways, namely White, Green, Black, plum stripe and rainbow, the reimagined Open and the Rockstud Untitled sneakers are priced at 690 and 850 USD respectively.

The Valentino Garavani Open For A Change Sneaker collection is available now online at the Valentino website, the brand's boutiques as well as at selected doors worldwide.
