Louis Vuitton unveils bracelets designed by Virgil Abloh for UNICEF

Luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton has released a capsule of bracelets designed by Virgil Abloh for UNICEF.

Titled 'Louis Vuitton x UNICEF' the collection comprises of silver lockit bracelets which echo the designer's vision in four new colors: Natural or Black titanium, Neon Yellow, Rainbow, or Black. Each locket feature the iconic padlock as well as the LV signature circular logo.

The Silver LockIt was inspired by the tumbler lock which was invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients' most precious belongings. It was chosen as a symbol of sealing one's promise to help children at risk.

In 2020, Virgil Abloh imagined a personal version of the Silver Lockit bracelet in four colors, black, orange, celadon green and blue accented with touches of yellow. Inspired by his spring-summer 2020 show it was made up of a thick cord of the artistic director's signature links, and adorned with a Louis Vuitton charm and an engraved padlock.

The partnership between Louis Vuitton and Unicef dates back to 2016 with Louis Vuitton designing bracelets and Silver Lockits that has raised nearly $18 million USD to support UNICEF's work to provide conflict- and disaster affected children with access to water, sanitation, nutrition, education, health and protection services.

By purchasing the bracelets customers have the opportunity to help children in vulnerable situations. For every bracelet sold, $100 will be donated to UNICEF. The Louis Vuitton x UNICEF is available now on Louis Vuitton's website.
