Karl Lagerfeld launches Limited Edition Collection of Bags in collaboration with Amber Valletta

Maison KARL LAGERFELD, the Namesake brand of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld has unveiled a limited-edition of individually-numbered Tote Bags in collaboration with supermodel, and Sustainability Ambassador Amber Valletta and the Ethical Fashion Imitative (EFI).

Meticulously hand-stitched by artisans from Burkina Faso and Kenya, the One-of-a-Kind Tote Bags showcase a unique design that honors creative heritage, promotes female empowerment, and supports sustainable development.

Blending traditional artisan methods with modern design aesthetics, the stylish bag is chic and perfectly suited for today's lifestyle. Collaborating with the EFI (a program of the International Trade Centre, a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization) on this project further represents KARL LAGERFELD's ongoing journey within KARL CARES.

In designing the bag, Kim partnered with Valletta and EFI to create the oversized tote with minimal trims and no plastic-based elements, ensuring timeless appeal and recyclability. Made from organic textiles hand-woven by women artisans, 100% rain-fed cotton and dyed using GOTS certified dyes, each bag includes a bespoke informational patch identifying the exclusive production number. Only 320 pieces are available, and to complement each standout piece, the bags have been hand-signed by the Kenyan artisan.
