Kaia Gerber launches shoe collection with Jimmy Choo

Kaia Gerber has collaborated with Jimmy Choo on a 90's-inspired shoe collection.

The exclusive capsule is in the style of the model and comprises of four different styles: lace-up combat boots, western boots, slingback heels, and a pair of simple slides. Kaia who was inspired by the famous Cruz boots from the label wanted to give the designs a substantial 90's feel but did not compromise on comfort.

'There are so many factors when it comes to designing a shoe,' Kaia told Vogue. 'I think that's why, subconsciously, our shoes are so special to us. Not only because of the amount that goes into making them, but also because they're holding us up all day.'

'Kaia is a modern supermodel, she represents the archetypal Jimmy Choo muse for a new era,' Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo's creative director, said in a press release. 'Off the catwalk, Kaia has a signature personal style that is the epitome of effortless cool. From her first campaign with us, Kaia has worn our CRUZ combat, it became her go-to, and that led us to have a conversation about collaborating on her capsule shoe wardrobe.'

15% of all sales from the collection will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital an organization that Kaia chose herself. 'If I were at St. Jude's, I would hope that there was someone advocating for me in the position that I'm in. I try and do that for those kids and give them hope and inspiration,' she explained.

The 'Kaia Gerber x Jimmy Choo' collection will be available for purchase on February 2, 2020.
