Gucci unveils its collaboration with North Face

Italian luxury label Gucci has unveiled its collaboration with outdoor apparel company North Face with a stellar campaign.

Titled 'Gucci x The North Face' the capsule comprises of everything you need for a stylish outdoor trip from puffer coats in exuberant floral prints, jackets and vests in bright hues like Kelly green and azure, to shirts, skirts, jumpsuits, high-heeled loafers, and gender-neutral hiking boots. There are also plenty of accessories such as suitcases, backpacks, belt bags, fishing waist packs, designer tents and sleeping bags.

The collection which was announced last september has been inspired by The North Face 's 70's designs and include materials from their archive. Some of the pieces are stamped with Alessandro Michele's reinterpretation of The North Face's iconic Half Dome logo which combines the iconic green-red-green Gucci pattern with the curved lines of The North Face.

In keeping with sustainable standards the collection is eco-responsible and uses nylon obtained from regenerated materials for the design of luggage, as well as old fabrics kept by The North Face. Garment bags and containers have been specially designed to reduce their environmental impact throughout the creation process.

To accompany the release of the collection a retro campaign has been released featuring models sporting looks from the new collection. The models go on an adventure in the mountains while the song Bad Moon Rising by Credence Clearwater Revival, which is also a reference to the 70's history of The North Face plays in the background.

The Gucci x The North Face collection is available now online and in select Gucci stores. Meanwhile check out the dreamy campaign images here
