Christy Turlington and Marc Jacobs celebrate their Friendship with a Campaign

Christy Turlington is the face of Marc Jacobs's Fall 2019 Campaign.

Lensed by Steven Meisel and styled by Katie Grand, the black and white shots with black frame exude a nostalgic flair. Turlington showcases pieces from Jacobs'latest and highly applauded runway collection.

The duo announced the news of the campaign which immortalizes their friendship International Day of Friendship on July 30.

In an Instagram, post-Jacobs described what their friendship and the new cooperation mean for the two. 'My friendship with Christy began in 1987. Over these past decades, she has always shown up for me. Always. After closing our RUNWAY FALL 2019 MARC JACOBS show, Christy agreed to be photographed for our campaign. The results are stunning and the day in the studio with her, Steven and the crew was a day I will always cherish. It is a great gift to continue to create new memories with her.' Turlington responded likewise with an Instagram post captioned, 'Anything for Marc, always.'

Turlington and Jacobs share a long history. In 1993, just before her last appearance, she was seen on the catwalk of Jacobs who at that time introduced his famous grunge collection. Fast forward to 2019 and in February this year, she made a comeback to the fashion world when she closed Jacob's runway show during New York Fashion Week. Even though she has largely retired she keeps herself busy. Her most recent appearance is in the latest issue of British Vogue, which was curated by Duchess Meghan.
