Chanel’s Reincarnation Film Lands, Cara Delevingne Can Sing !

Spoiler alert: Cara Delevingne is pretty good at singing!

After hitting us with the teaser last week, the Karl Lagerfeld-directed short film “Reincarnation” has finally been released in its entirety by Chanel, a day ahead of its Paris-Salzburg show.

Inspired by the story of Coco Chanel being influenced by an Austrian elevator operator’s jacket in the 1950s the film is enchanting and enthralling. The Delightful Geraldine Chaplin plays Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, Delevingne plays an Austrian hotel maid and Pharrell Williams an elevator operator who become royalty in a fantasy sequence. There are appearances by Heidi Mount, Jamie Bochert, Baptiste Giabiconi and Brad Kroenig.

The film also features a new original song composed and written by Williams called “CC the World”, in which he duets with the multi-hyphenate Cara Delevingne who's vocals are surprisingly pretty good. The seven-minute film is glamorous and the perfect teaser for Chanel’s upcoming runway presentation tomorrow.
