Balenciaga and Adidas unveil highly anticipated collaboration

Luxury Fashion house Balenciaga and German sportswear brand Adidas have teamed up for a sporty collection.

Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia unveiled the collaboration at the house's Spring 2023 runway presentation which took place on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Titled 'Balenciaga x Adidas' the 33-piece collection encompasses men's and women's apparel, jewelry, accessories and footwear inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s. It features track pants, jerseys, windbreakers, dresses, T-shirts, beanies, bags, and shorts. The highlight of the collection are chunky Adidas Triple S sneakers reinterpreted with the signature DNA of adidas' signature three stripes.

According to Luxury group Kering (who owns Balenciaga), the collaboration 'recontextualizes elements of sportswear that have been a part of Balenciaga's creative language.'

Priced between 120 USD to 5,500 USD, the Balenciaga x Adidas collection is available now online for preorder until May 29th. An exclusive release of selected signature pieces are available to purchase only on balenciaga.com and at the Madison Avenue, New York Balenciaga store.
