A new magazine has filled a gap in the market in Turkey: Âlâ is a monthly publication aimed at women who wear a veil. Since it hit the shelves in June of 2011, Ala magazine has become a feature of the Turkish high street.

The Muslim fashion magazine Ala appeals to a conservative-chic female market in Turkey and in its debut year says it outsold many other established Western-style fashion magazines.
