Michaela Bodenmiller hails from Hanse town Hamburg, where the blonde beauty started her modeling career and is now studying agriculture-based economy. Thanks to her professional appearance, clients are already buzzing about Michaela, who represents a pretty rare alignment of runway body, beauty contract face and editorial presence. At 5'9.3" this German newcomer is said to work very professional and after debuting at the pret-á-porter in Paris this spring, we're certain we will be seeing more of Michaela in the near future ...
How did you get started in the modeling business?
Last year I walked in the office of Model Management in Hamburg and they took me on straight away.
Did you ever think you'd be doing this?
No, not at all. It was a quick idea to apply and I didn’t expect the positive feedback of my agency.
What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
I like the travelling and to see new countries and its people. The least is that I can spend less time with my family and friends.
Have you encountered any surprises along the way?
Plenty! There are surprises almost every day since you often don’t know what happens next.
Have you developed any new interests since you started modelling?
Yes definitely. I come from a smaller town in the Southern part of Germany and my interest in fashion only started when I began to model. Same goes for foreign languages.
What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
I read a lot of books, meet with my family and friends and I also study agriculture-based economy.
Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable?
Paris. I love the buildings, the food, the people and atmosphere....just everything!
Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why?
The opinions of my mother and my boyfriend I value very much.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career?
I see myself working as an analyst.
What are your best beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape?
My only real beauty secret is simply to get enough of sleep.
What would you want people to know about you?
I’m a blonde but I try not to fulfil the cliché.
Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out?
Always believe in yourself!
