Irina Vodolazova - model of the month - July

Having walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana and Paul Smith, Russian topmodel Irina Vodolazova has always possessed the kind of looks that make you wow.
Standing at 5'9", this graceful beauty got discovered in her home town Yaroslavl, located 250 km north-east of Moscow, before she ended up signing with Russia's top agency IQ. As a consequence she has worked for a number of famous designers and appeared on the covers of the fashion industry's top magazines.
We're confident that Irina is on the right path to further prosperity and thus it was a pleasure to interview her as our Model of the Month for July ....


How did you get started in the modeling business?
Irina: My story is typical. I went to a model agency in my home town. After a few weeks, scouts from Moscow came in and chose me for working with them. After other 2 weeks I've been in Moscow and then after 2 months in Paris. So everything has started!

Did you ever think you'd be doing this?
Irina: No, but I'm very happy that this happened to me!

What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
Irina: Nice and interesting people that I meet and permanent travelling all over the world I like the most. At the same time I miss my family and friends sometimes, that's a pity...

Have you encountered any surprises along the way?
Irina: Not really, everything along my way is rather stable I think.

Ever get tempted to get pulled into the party scene?
Irina: I go party only when I want it, nobody could pull me there!

Have you developed any new interests since you started modeling?
Irina: Hm... I think on-line adventures are taking part from my life!

What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
Irina: Chatting with my friends and watching movies!

Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable?
Irina: Tokyo and Paris are my favorites!

Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why?
Irina: No, I'm a big and self-dependent girl now!

Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career?
Irina: I'll be a loving mother I think....

What are your best beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape?
Irina: Nothing....He-He-He.....I'm lucky!!! Staying in shape is in my gens!

What would you want people to know about you?
Irina: Nothing special I guess. Just me!

Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out?
Irina: Everybody has a chance, don't push things to lose yours!
