Pologeorgis Furs was founded by Stanley Pologeorgis in 1960. He quickly became known throughout the industry as a master craftsman who took pride in his product. Pologeorgis was a pioneer in forging relationships between fashion designers and the fur industry. The first collection of furs was designed by Pierre Balmain in the 1970’s, since then many prestigious labels have been added. Pologeorgis is committed to researching new furs, developing innovative techniques and collaborating with designers to make fur modern and wearable.

Stanley passed on his extensive knowledge of manufacturing and buying of fur pelts to his son Nick, who joined the firm in 1984 after graduating from Boston University with a degree in Finance. Pologeorgis has always been a family business. In 1989, Joan Pologeorgis joined the firm after attending The Fashion Institute of Technology.

Now housed on two floors in a New York City loft building, the company has emerged into a full service operation. Pattern makers and designers are on hand for custom orders. The on-site factory has the manufacturing capacity for all furs. A custom climate controlled vault was built to house storage coats on premises.

Pologeorgis Furs is renowned for their tradition of quality and unparalleled craftsmanship. In addition to producing a signature collection of furs and accessories, Pologeorgis creates the fur collections for Michael Kors, Zandra Rhodes, Chado Ralph Rucci, Zac Posen and Chris Benz. Each collection is comprised of the finest quality furs, including minks, sables, broadtails, chinchillas, lightweight reversible swakaras and shearlings from around the world.

With 50 years experience, Pologeorgis Furs along with its designers will continue utilizing top quality furs and workmanship by re-inventing classic shapes into modern silhouettes. The collections are positioned in the highest end of the luxury market.
