Formed in October 2003 by Susan Dell (wife of computer magnate Michael Dell), Phi (pronounced “fee”) began life with many advantages—a 10,000-square-foot showroom in New York, its own store after one season, and Norwegian designer Andreas Melbostad at the helm.

In 2009 the label is fallen to the recession. The Spring 2010 collection wasn’t delivered; the pre-Spring 2010 delivery, which arrived in stores this month was their last.
