about

The brand British Colon was founded in 1999 by Maxime Perelmuter, with a mission to meet the needs of the new man. Originally attended only to the male audience, the brand introduced a female line in 2004, after noticing the demand for women who frequented their stores.

Maxime Perelmuter won his first store as a prize in the competition New Talent at the Fashion Week of Barra Shopping in 2000.

In 2001, he opened two other stores, one in Ipanema and the other in the Barra Shopping.

His third store he opened in the Shopping Center Vertical in 2003.

In 2007, British Colony made a come-back to the masculine and feminine audience. The first store after the re-launch was opened in the Fashion Mall, with the proposal to bring new basics to the fashion.

The second store opened at Forum de Ipanema in 2008, followed by three additional stores in 2009.
