Boden

Boden is a London-based clothing company, founded in 1991 by Johnnie Boden and initially launched with eight menswear products. The womenswear collection was launched in 1992, followed by a childrenswear (Mini Boden) collection in 1999.

The website www.boden.co.uk was launched in April 1999. In 2002, the company expanded to America, and launched the US website, which now accounts for 30% of sales. Boden�s first shop opened in 2004 in Hanger Lane, London.

The company began trading in Germany in 2007, and launched www.bodendirect.de, the German website.

The company launched a baby range in 2007. In the summer of 2010 Boden launched a new line for teenagers, called Johnnie B. This line features clothes from 10 to 16. Then in the summer of 2011 a maternity range was launched, as well as a petite range for Boden Womenswear. Limited Edition online sections are now being introduced in Boden as well and the new Summer 2012 collection for Mini Boden features an online "Party dress" section, with dresses for weddings etc.

Their clothing and accessories are available through mail order, online and telephone in the UK, US and Germany. Boden also has a shop in London and operates pop-up shops on short leases, the latest of which were in Reading and Birmingham. Boden products are only available direct from the company catalogue or from the shops. The company has warehouses in Leicester, UK and Pittston, Pennsylvania, USA
