Blugirl - The other face of Blumarine. The younger, more informal side. The Blugirl collection came into being in 1995, inspired by the need to create a second line as well as a collection expressly designed to convey a feminine ideal with characteristics similar to those identified with the spirit of the Blumarine collection, but for younger women between the ages of 15 and 35. It is a ready-to-wear line for girls and young women, designed by Anna Molinari.

Blugirl makes its debut at Milano Collezioni in 2002, with great success.

Within just a few short seasons Blugirl has assumed an increasingly rich and complete physiognomy. Based on the concept of freestyle clothing, it offers lots of delightful separates that can be mixed and matched, reinvented and worn with a healthy dose of creativity and playful irony.

In 1998 a new strategic corner in the Zap Megastore in Gelleria Passerella in Milan is inaugurated on March 1st for Blugirl line; this young dynamic space offers a mix of cutting-edge brands in the clothing and accessories sector. The company is experiencing a period of rapid expansion.

Beginning the summer of 2000, in addition to the clothing line, Blugirl also came out with a coordinated selection of accessories, everything from shoes to leather goods and handbags. And 2001 marks the debut of Blugirl Jeans, the denim version of the collection.

In 2001 was an opening of the new single-brand Blugirl boutique in Forte Dei Marmi.

The Blugirl collection are carried in over 1,000 retail outlets, including selected boutiques and shop-in-shop solutions in the most prestigious department stores in the world.

September 2002 sees the catwalk premier of the Blugirl line in Milan, a ready-to-wear collection for teenagers which is met with considerable success of both publics and critics.

In January 2007, the new collection Blugirl Follies is born, made by licencee Spazio blu. Its trademark denimware, enriched with casual details.
