- Antik Batik is a French ready-to-wear brand which was founded by Christophe Sauvat in 1992. The philosophy of the brand is to use natural fabrics, handmade garments, mixed with ethnical references. At the beginning the brand distributes only accessories like scarves, bags, belts and sandals.
- In 1994, Christophe created his first collection of embroidered tunics and kaftans.
- In 2000, Christophe introduced the first Girl�s collection together with Gabriela Cortese.
- In 2005, they created their first lingerie line in partnership with Sun.
- Christophe sold his share of the company in 2007 and Gabriela Cortese was named the new creative director.
- Today the brand is distributed in more than 1000 sales points worldwide in Europe and the Middle East. Antik Batik is also present in many department stores including Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon March�, Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Harvey Nichols and Seibu.
