Stefan Khoo is a Malaysian-born photographer and visual artist based in Singapore. He is best known for his vibrant and colorful images of everyday life in Southeast Asia.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Stefan Khoo developed an early interest in photography and art. He studied photography at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, where he graduated with a diploma in photography. After graduating, he worked as a freelance photographer for various publications and advertising agencies.

In 2010, Stefan Khoo began to focus on his own personal work, exploring the streets of Southeast Asia through his lens. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF), the Angkor Photo Festival in Cambodia, and the Pingyao International Photography Festival in China. His photographs have also been published by National Geographic Magazine and The New York Times Magazine.

In addition to his photographic work, Stefan Khoo has also created several short films that explore themes of identity and belonging within Southeast Asian culture. His films have been screened at film festivals around the world, including Cannes Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival.

Stefan Khoo’s work is characterized by its vivid colors and intimate portrayal of everyday life in Southeast Asia. Through his photographs and films, he seeks to capture moments that are often overlooked or forgotten by mainstream media outlets.
