Sebastian Henkel is a German photographer and visual artist based in Berlin. He is known for his unique style of photography, which combines elements of documentary, fashion, and fine art.

Henkel began his career as a freelance photographer in the early 2000s, shooting for various magazines and newspapers. His work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, GQ, and The New York Times. He has also worked with numerous brands including Adidas, Nike, and Mercedes-Benz.

In addition to his commercial work, Henkel has also created several personal projects that explore themes of identity and belonging. His series “The Other Side” was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Berlin in 2017. He has also been featured in several group exhibitions around the world including the International Center of Photography in New York City and the Photographers’ Gallery in London.

Henkel’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including the International Photography Award (IPA) for Best Documentary Series (2017) and the Sony World Photography Award (2018). He is currently represented by Galerie Esther Woerdehoff in Paris.
