Nian Canard is a French photographer and visual artist based in Paris. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Canard began her career as a photographer in the early 2000s, when she was still a student at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She quickly developed an interest in documentary photography, which she used to capture the everyday lives of people living in France's rural areas. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde, and The Guardian.

In recent years, Canard has expanded her practice to include video art and installation pieces. Her work often focuses on themes of identity, memory, and displacement. She has exhibited her work at galleries around the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
