After graduating from high school, he studied photography at the University of Applied Arts in Budapest.

In the late 1990s, István began to focus on landscape photography, traveling throughout Hungary to capture its beauty. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions around the world, including the Hungarian National Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest. He has also won several awards for his work, including the Hungarian National Photography Prize in 2000.
