Fan Xin is a Chinese photographer and visual artist based in Beijing. She is best known for her work exploring the relationship between people and their environment, often through the lens of urban life.

Born in Beijing in 1985, Fan Xin studied photography at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. After graduating, she began to explore the city's streets and alleyways, capturing its inhabitants and their everyday lives. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

In addition to her photography, Fan Xin has also worked as a curator and educator. She has curated exhibitions for institutions such as the National Art Museum of China and has taught classes on photography at universities across China.

Fan Xin's work has been widely praised for its ability to capture both beauty and complexity within urban environments. Her photographs have been described as "poetic" and "hauntingly beautiful," with an eye for detail that reveals both the beauty and fragility of life within cities.
