About

Ezra Petronio is a French photographer and filmmaker who has been working in the fashion industry for over two decades. He is best known for his work in magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Numéro, as well as his collaborations with major fashion houses like Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.

Born in Paris in 1971, Petronio grew up surrounded by art and culture. His father was a painter and his mother was a sculptor, so it was only natural that he developed an interest in photography at an early age. After studying photography at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, he began working as an assistant to renowned photographers like Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Ellen von Unwerth.

In the late 1990s, Petronio began to make a name for himself with his signature style of dreamy images that often featured models in surreal settings. His work has been featured on the covers of numerous magazines including Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar UK, and Numéro France. He has also collaborated with some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Balmain.

In addition to his editorial work, Petronio has also directed several short films including "The Little Prince" (2009) and "The Red Shoes" (2011). He has also published several books of his photography including "Ezra Petronio: Photographs" (2008) and "Ezra Petronio: The Art of Fashion Photography" (2012).

Petronio continues to be one of the most sought-after photographers in the fashion industry today. His work is characterized by its dreamy aesthetic and its ability to capture beauty in unexpected places.
