Denise Boomkens is a Dutch photographer and visual artist based in Amsterdam. She is known for her unique and captivating images that explore the relationship between people and their environment.

Born in the Netherlands in 1975, Denise began her career as a photographer at an early age. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where she developed her own style of photography that focused on capturing the beauty of everyday life. After graduating, she moved to Amsterdam to pursue a career as a professional photographer.

Throughout her career, Denise has worked with many renowned publications such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour. Her work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

In addition to her commercial work, Denise has also created several personal projects that explore themes such as identity, memory, and nostalgia. Her most recent project is titled “The Dutch Landscape” which focuses on capturing the beauty of rural life in Holland.

Denise’s work has been praised for its ability to capture moments of beauty and emotion that are often overlooked by other photographers. Her unique vision has earned her numerous awards including the International Photography Award for Best Portrait Series (2015) and the Prix de la Photographie Paris (2016).

Today Denise continues to create stunning images that capture both the beauty and complexity of everyday life.
