Bruna Castanheira is a Brazilian photographer and visual artist based in São Paulo. She has been working in the field of photography since 2009, and her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications around the world.

Castanheira's work focuses on themes of identity, memory, and the human experience. She often uses her own personal experiences as a source of inspiration for her photographs. Her images are often characterized by their dreamlike quality, with a focus on capturing moments of beauty and emotion.

Castanheira has exhibited her work in galleries across Brazil, as well as internationally in countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United States. Her photographs have also been featured in publications such as Vogue Italia, The New York Times Magazine, and The Guardian.

In addition to her photography career, Castanheira is also an active member of the Brazilian art community. She is a founding member of the collective Fotografia Feminina Brasil (FFB), which works to promote female photographers from Brazil. She is also an active participant in various workshops and seminars related to photography and visual arts.

Castanheira's work has earned her numerous awards over the years including the Prêmio Marc Ferrez de Fotografia from Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS) in 2017; the Prêmio Funarte de Fotografia from Fundação Nacional das Artes (Funarte) in 2018; and the Prêmio Marc Ferrez de Fotografia from IMS again in 2019.

Castanheira continues to explore new ways to express herself through photography while inspiring others with her unique vision of life through her art.
