Born in California in 1965, Bruce developed an early interest in photography. He began taking pictures of his family and friends at a young age and soon realized that he had a natural talent for capturing beautiful images. After graduating high school, Bruce attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he earned his degree in photography.

After college, Bruce began working as a freelance photographer for various magazines and newspapers. His work was quickly noticed by art directors and editors who appreciated his eye for detail and composition. His photographs have been featured in publications such as National Geographic, Time Magazine, The New York Times, and many more.

In addition to his editorial work, Bruce has also created several fine art collections that have been exhibited around the world. He has also won numerous awards for his photography including the International Photography Award from the Lucie Foundation and the Hasselblad Masters Award from Hasselblad USA.
