He was born in Milan, Italy in 1975 and grew up surrounded by art and culture. His father was a painter and his mother a sculptor, so it was only natural that he would develop an interest in photography.

Benassi began his career as a freelance photographer in the late 1990s, shooting for magazines and newspapers. He quickly developed a reputation for his unique style of photography, which often featured bold colors and dramatic lighting. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, and Vogue Italia.

In addition to his editorial work, Benassi has also created several books of photography including “The World Through My Eyes” (2005) and “The Beauty of Italy” (2008). He has also exhibited his work at galleries around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
