Less than a year after giving birth to a baby boy, Lara Stone
returns to high-concept modeling in a nude and sexy spread for ‘System’ Magazine. The unedited and unphotoshopped photos of her were lensed by Juergen Teller
not long after she gave birth to her first son. The series of photos are an artistic result in which the model looks fantastic as she proudly showcases her female figure in a non-sexualized manner.
After the birth of her son Alfred, in late December of last year the model got back into modeling this past summer with an underwear campaign for Calvin Klein
. Stone worked hard with trainer James Duigan to change her lifestyle and reclaim her body, with the aim of becoming stronger, healthier and more toned. Not only she achived her goal but became stronger, healthier and more toned.“Nine months [after the birth] i began feeling more normal and i started to fit into my old clothes again, but my body still felt different. Now i feel a lot more balanced. My energy is much steadier. I feel stronger and more confident”
, Lara told The Edit Magazine in an interview for its July 2014 issue.
The photo spread is remarkable for its honesty and transparency in this day and age when Photoshopped images are everywhere and in which you rarely see an un-airbrushed fashion campaign. The Dutch Supermodel however is no stranger to nudity though but shows she isn't afraid to flaunt her post-baby body and her "imperfections". Lara deserves much applaud for giving us a surprisingly honest and true-to-life representation of a woman's body post having a baby. After all its not something most female celebrities and models would do, and we admire her for it.
Stone's cover is just one of four Juergen Teller-shot covers for System; the others feature fellow supermodels Liya Kebede, Stella Tennant, and Saskia de Brauw.
