, has taken the next step in distancing herself from the Kardashian-Jenner spotlight and make a point to those who attribute her modeling gigs to her famous family.
While her New York City agency, The Society Model Management
, is known for listing even their most successful supermodels (Adriana Lima
, Liu Wen
and so on) with their surnames included, Jenner has opted to follow in the footsteps of Twiggy
"People think that this just came to me. But it didnít. What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn't take me seriously as a model," the statuesque brunette told Love Magazine
last month. "I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn't recognize me. I was like, 'Thank you. Please don't recognize me.'"
