Kate Moss fronts new Salvatore Ferragamo ad campaign

The supermodel looks very sedate and glamorous in the first images released by Salvatore Ferragamo for their fall/winter 2012 advertising campaign.

In the campaign, the 38-year-old British supermodel is seen sprawled across plush couches oozing Czar-like charm, if there is such a thing. We see a different Kate Moss in the shoot. She is elegant, seductive, swan-like and very Grace Kelly in a quiet sort of way. During the fashion shoot, the model made it clear why she has taken the second spot on the Forbes Rich List with earnings estimated at $9.2 million. She works hard for her money and oozes professionalism when it comes to photoshoots. And she is one classy lady regardless of what they say about her personal life. You know those late nights and her hard partying ways and….and…and…

Shot in Berlin’s Russian embassy, Moss is joined by fellow models Karmen Pedaru and Sean O’Pry. There is no question in everyone’s mind that this is a serious shoot. Surrounded by opulence in the form of antique trapestries and ornate furniture, there is a fairytale atmosphere surrounding the campaign which is what creative director, Massimilliano Gionetti was aiming for in his fall collection. Very czar-like and very Russian and Kate was the perfect foil to showcase the new and wearable designs.

A statement from Ferragamo says the campaign is supposedly, “a role-play between Kate Moss’s unmistakable feminity, Karmen Pedaru’s reserved beauty and Sean O’Pry’s striking looks amidst a geometrical play of mirrors and fabrics that recreates the environment of a fairy tale palace.” And they achieved what they set out to do. The photoshoot was photographed by Mikael Jannson who has also done campaigns for Dior and Chloe.

On the personal front, Kate is married to Kills guitarist Jamie Hince and it is rumored that 9-year-old daughter, Lila Moss, might be following in mum’s footsteps.

Oooohhh….those genes again. There’s no stopping them!
