Celebrity Dermatologist Fredric Brandt, was found dead in his home in Coral Gables, Florida on Sunday. He was 65. Brandt's publicist Jacquie Trachtenberg told the New York Post that he died after "suffering from an illness."

"He passed away this morning" said Trachtenberg. "Everyone who knows him is devastated, I worked with him for over 20 years and he was an amazing man, not only was he a brilliant doctor, but he was the kindest human being."

Dr. Brandt was a pioneer in the field of Dermatology and was well known for high-profile clientele. Stephanie Seymour, along with many other models, actresses, and socially prominent women would flock to him. Madonna who was one of his top clients once said, “If I have nice skin, I owe a lot to him.”

Well known for “signature Y lifts” he was among the first to use Botox as a means to rejuvenate the face. With a successful dermatology practice in Miami (before heading to Manhattan) Brandt developed countless FDA-approved protocols and tested fillers on his own face that led to earn the nickname the 'Baron of Botox'. Besides his famous clientele he had a world-class modern art collection and was revered for his creativity and compassion whose ultimate goal as a dermatologist was “to keep people working and feeling vital and good about themselves.”
