Natacha Ramsay-Levi becomes Chloe\'s new Creative Director

Chloe has appointed Natacha Ramsay-Levis as its new creative director.

The news comes after months of speculation, following the departure of Clare Waight Keller, who held the role of creative director for six years. Waight Keller joined Givenchy as its new artistic director, replacing Riccardo Tisci.

'I am very honored and happy to be appointed creative director at @chloe this morning. Can't wait to start! I thank everybody who made this possible,' she wrote in an Instagram post.

Ramsay-Levi, who will be in charge of ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories at Chloe, was the right hand of Nicolas Ghesquiere. She worked with him as an intern during his time at Balenciaga as well and soon became head designer of Balenciaga's women's pre-collections in 2007. When Ghesquiere joined Louis Vuitton in 2013, she followed too, taking up position of design director.

'I am very proud to join a house founded by a woman to dress women,' she said in a statement. 'I want to create fashion that enhances the personality of the woman who wears it, fashion that creates a character and an attitude, without ever imposing a look.'

Ramsay-Levi's debut collection for Chloe will be presented in September at the Paris Fashion Week for Spring / Summer 2018. She joins the likes of Phoebe Philo, Stella McCartney, and Karl Lagerfeld who are all ex alumna of the brand.
