Louis Vuitton reveals spring 2015 ad campaign on Instagram

Louis Vuitton's creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere tapped a trio of legendary photographers — Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz and Juergen Teller to photograph Freja Beha Erichsen, Jennifer Connelly, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Liya Kebede and Jean Campbell for the brand's spring 2015 advertising campaign.

Ghesquiere shared the images on his Instagram page on monday. The first titled Series 1 features Charlotte Gainsbourg, Freja Beha Erichsen, Liya Kebede and Jean Campbell who are photographed by the all star cast of photographers mentioned earlier. For Series 2 Jennifer Connoly and Freja Beha Erichsenwere cast with the same photographers. A third image featured a monogrammed handbag lensed by Juergen Teller.

The campaign is notable not just for its use of A list stars and photographers but also because the pictures were inspired by Ghesquiere's debut fall collection for the French fashion house. It marks a new creative direction for the brand with the departure of Steven Meisel (who used to shoot Louis Vuitton's campaigns when Marc Jacobs helmed the label.) Louis Vuitton was one of the most engaged fashion brands back in early November with the brand registering 1.23 million likes on its posts throughout the month.
