Jean Paul Gaultier and Lipault collaborate on capsule collection

Jean Paul Gaultier and Lipault have teamed up for an Autumn/Winter 2018-2019 travel/couture collection.

Titled 'Ampli', the travel capsule was inspired by the pinstripe suit of Gaultier and includes a weekend bag, cabin bag, suitcases and a toiletries bag. Accompanying the collection is a series of small leather goods such as backpacks available in two sizes to bum bags, in black and brown. Both collections include the Jean-Paul Gaultier logo on a metal plaque. The ad campaign for the collection features intersex model Hanne Gaby Odiele.

The collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier marks the second hook-up for the French luggage and handbag brand who launched a line co-designed with Ines de La Fressange last year. Lipault was founded in 2005 by Francois Lipovetsky and was acquired by Samsonite Group in 2014.

Priced between 89 euros and 269 euros, the Jean Paul Gaultier x Lipault collection will be available at Lipault stores, the Lipault website and as well as select retailers internationally from August 20, 2018.
