IMG Takes to Instagram for Model Scouting

Top Model Management Agency IMG models has taken to Instagram in an attenmt to scout new talent. The "We Love Your Genes" campaign was launched a few weeks ago by the agency along with a dedicated Instagram account and hashtag (#WLYG). Users are encouraged to share selfie's with the aforesaid hashtag for consideration by the agencies talent scouts.

While this is not the first time that an agency has taken to social media for model scouting, however the medium could become a whole new standard in the way fresh talent is scouted. The campaign has gained more than 5,500 followers since it launched last month and the #WLYG tag has been used more than 14,626 times. IMG has said that it has signed nearly a dozen girls from Instagram so far.
